ICNPAA 2010: Mathematical Problems in
Engineering, Aerospace and Sciences

The talk will be devoted to the study of operators which characterize equations of Wiener-Hopf type having so-called Fourier symbols in the algebra of piecewise almost periodic elements. A main part of the talk will be addressed to identify conditions which ensure the Fredholm property of those operators in weighted Lebesgue spaces. In addition, the Fredholm index will be discussed as well. The equations under study are known to be useful in the modelling of various applied problems.
