Abstract

As is well known, the engineering and applied sciences, the physical and mathematical sciences, and other areas are all somewhat interrelated and dependent to some extent upon stability and optimization techniques. Selected nonlinear stability and optimization techniques are briefly reviewed in terms of their contrasts and inherent relationships with one another. Then examples, different than those developed in ICNPAA-2000, ICNPAA-2002, ICNPAA-2004, ICNPAA-2006 and ICNPAA-2008 are developed to illustrate the techniques. The application areas considered are combinations of the following: 1) Mechanics and Circuits, 2) Estimation and Control, 3) Signal Processing and Communications, 4) Computational Methods.
