Abstract

The aim of this study is to enhance the existing mathematical model of a socioecological system based on tourism by introducing a distributed time-delay that considers the complete historical data of the number of tourists and their impact on forest resources and wildlife population. Equilibrium points are analyzed for stability and bifurcation, where a Hopf bifurcation analysis is conducted in the neighborhood of the positive equilibrium by utilizing general delay kernels and choosing the average time-delay as the bifurcation parameter. In addition, numerical simulations are performed to examine the impact of various parameters on the system's qualitative behavior.
